Amazfit wearable users have reported an improvement in the Zepp App Food Log feature. This tool first appeared towards the end of 2024 in a beta test and was then released for US customers. The feature has since arrived in countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and has more recently started rolling out across the Asia-Pacific region.
According to a user report on Facebook, a new version of the Zepp app has added the ability for users to save favourite food items. This frequently requested addition should make it even easier for users to keep track of what they eat. It is unclear why it was not mentioned in the release notes for the associated app update.
Now, when users log a food item in the app, be that with text or voice input or using the AI camera, there is the option to ‘Add to Favourites’ at the bottom of the page (screenshot below). Users can view and manage their list of favourite food items by clicking on the ‘Food’ tile from the homepage, tapping the settings icon in the top right-hand corner and scrolling to ‘My Favourites’. Then, when users Log Food from the Food page, there is a new option to select from ‘My Favourites’ (screenshot below).
We have been able to test this feature ourselves with Zepp App version 9.9.5 for iOS; it is unclear whether or not it is also available for Android users. You can download the latest version of the Zepp app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. The Food Log feature is available for users of various Amazfit wearables, including the recently released Helio Strap (curr. $99.99).
