The release window for the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch appears to have leaked. This upcoming wearable was first rumored in June 2025 and has since appeared in various places. Most recently, it was found in the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) database.
A Best Buy listing for the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch appeared at the start of July 2025. Since then, there has been a development in the ‘Questions and Answers’ section on the product page. In response to a question about the release date of the Balance 2 XT, a representative for Best Buy stated that it “should be available by the end of the month”, though no exact date was provided.
In the original Best Buy listing, there appeared to be several errors on the product page. For example, it was said to be 38 mm wide, though the standard Balance 2 watch is 47 mm wide. It was also listed with 0.5 GB of storage. Best Buy has now amended these points, stating that the watch is 47 mm wide, matching the original watch, and offers 4 GB of storage.
The only difference now found in this listing compared to the original Balance 2 watch is the water resistance; the Balance 2 XT is said to be water resistant to 164 ft (~50 m) rather than 328 ft (~100 m). It is unclear if this is correct or a typo.
The price of the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch is still listed at $199.99, which would make it $100 cheaper than the regular Balance 2 smartwatch ($299.99 at Amazon). Again, it is unclear if this is the final RRP or a placeholder.
