Zepp Health has announced the first update for the Balance 2 smartwatch. This wearable was released in China in May 2025 and has since launched globally alongside the brand’s Helio Strap (curr. $99.99 at Amazon).
On the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Zepp Health has shared details about this new Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch update. The release is said to bring three new HYROX Training Modes to this wearable: free training, training templates and timed training, with TABATA, AMRAP and EMOM styles for the latter.
The advertised recreational scuba diving mode has also arrived, with a maximum dive depth of up to 45 m (~148 ft). There is support for single cylinder, air and nitrox, and no-stop diving modes. Other new tools include a safety light for when you work out at night and a navigation setting for topographic maps. On top of this, there are said to be optimizations for the display of the app and activity lists, the appearance of the map and track navigation.
It appears that this update is currently rolling out to Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch users in China. The company has yet to announce when it will reach other countries.
