The Zepp app Food Log feature is rolling out to more users. This feature began beta testing last September and has since been released to Amazfit smartwatch users across the US. Now, users in European countries, including Spain, Belgium and Germany, have reported that they can now access this tool.
Zepp Health’s Food Log feature enables users to keep a log of what they have eaten. You can upload photos of your meals and snacks to the Zepp app, with AI used to determine the food items and calculate their nutritional value. Users can use text prompts to make modifications, and there is a wider food intake overview covering your calorie intake and macros. It is offered to users of all Amazfit smartwatches, including the recently released Active 2 (curr. $99.99 at Amazon). The tool should appear in the Home > Overview section of the Zepp app.
It is unclear when the Zepp Food Log tool will be available for all Amazfit smartwatch users. It is worth noting that Zepp Health has revealed that this new tool uses OpenAI models for nutrition data calculations. This feature is, therefore, more expensive for the company than others, so it may be that its availability will be limited to subscribers in the future.
