Zepp Health has released another update for the Amazfit Balance smartwatch, version 3.25.12.3. It arrived a few weeks after version 3.25.11.1, or the Balance OTA 8.1 update, began rolling out to users. This earlier release was said to optimize sleep and wake detection algorithms, the step-counting algorithm and the Morning Update.
However, users noted that some sleep data was missing after the installation of version 3.25.11.1. According to the change log for version 3.25.12.3, this release fixes the missing sleep data issue experienced by users who had previously updated to version 3.25.11.1. Those who are on older software should skip version 3.25.11.1 and receive all new features in this latest update. As well as the changes to sleep and step-counting, the Balance smartwatch (curr. $149.99 at Amazon) also gains support for the DJI Osmo Action Bluetooth remote control, downloadable via the App store. This lets you record footage overlaid with workout data, such as your speed or route.
Several users worldwide have reported on Reddit that they have already received the update, though many others flag that they have yet to receive software version 3.25.12.3. Zepp Health has yet to announce when this phased rollout will be complete. The update will be available to download through Zepp Health when Balance smartwatch users go to Profile > My Devices > Amazfit Balance > System Update.
