The Amazfit Cheetah Pro smartwatch is currently receiving a new firmware update: version 2.5.7.1. It follows the Zepp OS 4 release, which was announced in November 2024, bringing a new Zepp OS Keyboard, a couple of workout modes, and Readiness Insight to more users.
With firmware version 2.5.7.1, Cheetah Pro users gain new Indoor Rock Climbing, Bouldering, and Snow Shoveling workouts. The Padel workout has been upgraded, meaning you can track your swing count, and Track Running supports the selection of Lane 9. Zepp Coach users can now use navigation during training sessions, and a Notification Center “overhaul” is said to improve the design of elements, including the Morning Briefing.
This release for the Amazfit Cheetah Pro smartwatch (curr. $159.99 at Amazon) also brings optimizations such as charging completion reminders. An upgrade to the sleep algorithm has allegedly enhanced the accuracy of sleep stage tracking. Another algorithm that has been improved is for skiing, with more accurate lift ride records. On top of this, the pre-workout navigation preview page now has editing tools like zoom or move.
It is unclear how many users can access firmware update 2.5.7.1 at this time. When it is available to you, the update can be installed via the Zepp app. To check for the update, go to Profile > Amazfit Cheetah Pro > System Update.
