Zepp Health has released Zepp Flow 1.8.0 for the recently released Amazfit Active 2 smartwatches. Zepp Flow is the integrated AI assistant found on the brand’s wearables. This update follows the Zepp Flow 1.7 release, which arrived in November 2024 for the Balance smartwatch.
The release notes for Zepp Flow 1.8.0, or Zepp Flow 1.8, state that there is an updated AI Notification Assistant. This can now summarize your notifications, as well as suggest adding events to your schedule and offer smart replies. There are also enhanced calendar querying abilities, with users able to ask about future events and associated information like a location.
With this update, Zepp Flow can be used to set workout alerts for metrics like distance, pace, duration, and rest time. Similarly, for strength training, you can now use the assistant to alter the logged weight or rep count. On top of this, users can use voice commands to start a wider range of workouts, including HYROX. Zepp Flow 1.8 appears to be available in the following languages: English, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Zepp Flow 1.8 is rolling out to the Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch (curr. $99.99 at Amazon). However, it is also reported to work on the T-Rex 3 and Balance wearables, though with worse performance. Whether or when these other watches will officially get this latest version of the Zepp Flow is unclear.
