Garmin is expected to deliver the first new Forerunner smartwatch since early 2023 at some point this year. Based on recent rumours, the company is lining up the Forerunner 975 as the series' next release. However, it remains to be seen whether there will be an accompanying Forerunner 275.
In the meantime, Garmin continues to refine its software experience for existing Forerunner smartwatches like the Forerunner 165 (curr. $223.99 on Amazon). To recap, the company kicked off a new beta testing cycle last month with Beta Version 23.09. Now, it has pushed ahead with Beta Version 23.13, which should have reached roughly 20% of Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 or Forerunner 965 smartwatches enrolled on Garmin's Beta Program.
While Beta Version 23.09 brought new features to the table, Beta Version 23.13 focuses solely on bug fixes. Specifically, there are nine that are common across the smartwatches listed above, the full list of which we have embedded below. As far as we can tell, Beta Version 23.13 introduces a single Forerunner 165-only bug fix that could cause display distortions on older builds. Meanwhile, a crash should no longer occur on other Forerunner smartwatches when scrolling through glances with the History glance in a folder.
