Garmin has released the Software Version 22.26 Hotfix for the Forerunner 165 smartwatch. This live update follows the 22.24 update, which brought a range of bug fixes to the wearable around a month ago, resolving problems linked to scheduled and Daily Suggested workouts, as well as the smart notification tone.
The change log for the stable version 22.26 updates states that it addresses an issue that could lead to distortion in some cases. Examples include text and numbers repeated across the display, making it unreadable, and areas of noise. This problem has been reported multiple times in the Garmin forum over the past few weeks, and it has occurred for users of both the standard Forerunner 165 and the Forerunner 165 Music during activities. The software version 22.26 hotfix is now available to download for all users of the Forerunner 165 smartwatch (~curr. $223.99 at Amazon).
The same issue will also be resolved for users enrolled in the Garmin Beta Program, with beta version 23.13. Alongside this bug fix, the update tackles problems with GPS Walk activities, track skipping when using Apple AirPods Pro 2, and crashes at the start of workouts. This beta update is currently available for at least 50% of users. To download either update, go to Menu > Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.
