Garmin has issued beta version 14.06 for the Venu 3, Venu 3s and vivoactive 5 smartwatches. It arrived a week or so after the previous release, beta version 14.05, which addressed a couple of issues, including a problem where images in the Morning Report were not displayed as expected.
The beta version 14.06 update is said to bring “general improvements” to the device's new passcode feature, which was released to all users in software version 13.17. Unfortunately, there are no further details to indicate what benefits there are for customers.
There are also two bug fixes in this beta release. The first tackles a problem where the day-of-week text on some watch faces was cut off. The second resolves an audio-related issue during workouts; at zero seconds pace, the audio would state that workout intervals were completed. Finally, the release notes state that there are other, presumably more minor, bug fixes and improvements.
If you want to download beta version 14.06 for the Venu 3 and vivoactive 5 smartwatches, you can do so by going to the Main Menu > Settings > System > Software Update. It is worth noting that, as is the case for all beta updates, the ECG feature is disabled for the Venu 3 smartwatch (curr. $449.99 at Amazon).
