The Redmi Watch Move might be the cheapest smartwatch Xiaomi has released to the Indian market to date, even compared to its 5 Active predecessor that currently goes for INR 2,395 (~$) on Amazon.in.
Despite that, the new wearable is equipped with an AMOLED display rated for an apparently segment-leading brightness of 600 nits.
The Watch Move even has an Always-on Display (AoD) mode - although its use reduces its estimated maximum battery life from 14 days to 2.
Xiaomi also asserts that it has the best heart-rate monitor and step-counter for a smartwatch of its price, with an accuracy of 97% and 98.5% respectively (albeit according to the OEM's own internal testing).
The Watch Move is also rated to measure the user's blood oxygen, stress, sleep, calorie intake and cycle. It does so using HyperOS rather than something like Wear OS, although that should allow it to sync well with a smartphone that is also from Redmi (or Xiaomi).
The Move's Apple Watch-like build has a similar IP68 rating, and can also use quick-release interchangeable bands. Therefore, the user could choose a second one to complement or contrast with a choice of Gold Rush, Blue Blaze, Black Drift or Silver Sprint colorways.
The Redmi Watch Move is available to order direct from mi.com/in for just INR 1,999 (~$23.45) at present.
