Redmi Watch 5 Active new cheaper smartwatch with long battery life launches

The Redmi Watch 5 Active has been launched in some European countries. The affordable smartwatch was announced in August and is already available in markets like India. It follows the Redmi Watch 5 Lite, which was revealed in September.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Watch 5 Active has a 2-inch square LCD display with an over 70% screen-to-body ratio. You can use the device to receive phone calls thanks to Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in microphone. Health tracking features include heart rate, blood oxygen and stress level monitoring. Plus, you can track your workout choosing from over 140 exercise modes. Other features include a camera, flashlight, a phone finder tool and Amazon Alexa voice assistant. According to the product listing, the wearable can run for up to 18 days on a single charge with typical use or 12 days with heavy use. Plus, the product is said to be water-resistant to 5 ATM, meaning it is not damaged by splashes when washing your hands or in the rain.

Customers can choose between Midnight Black and Matte Silver colorways, with a range of straps and over 200 watch faces. You can currently buy the Redmi Watch 5 Active in the Netherlands and Germany for the discounted price of €32.99. In the UK, customers can purchase the wearable for £29.99 at the moment. Plus, the product is also available in other European countries like France and Spain where it retails for €39.99. While the model can also be purchased at Amazon, it is sold via third-party retailers at the higher price of €42.44.
