Casio G-Shock Full Metal GM-B2100SD watch with higher contrast arrives
The Casio G-Shock Full Metal GM-B2100SD-1A watch is now available to pre-order in Japan. Officially launching later in October, the model is very similar to the GM-B2100D-1A, launched in 2022, with a dual analog and digital display.
However, the new GM-B2100SD-1A has a greater contrast between the darker grey background and the silver accents, such as watch hands and hour markers, which should make it easier to read. You can find a side-by-side comparison of the two models below. Featurewise, the two models are identical. Thanks to Bluetooth, you can connect the watch to your smartphone for automatic time adjustment, reminders and a phone finder tool. On top of that, the watch has a double LED light, a power-saving mode, and Casio’s tough solar charging technology for up to seven months of battery life.
You can pre-order the Casio G-Shock Full Metal GM-B2100SD-1A watch in Japan for JP¥84,700 (~$572). For comparison, the older GM-B2100D-1A retails for JP¥77,000 (~$520). The GM-B2100SD-1A is expected to be released in countries worldwide at a later date, though pricing for other markets is currently unknown.
