Garmin Fenix 7 smartwatch gets new beta update with sleep tracking bug fix
A new beta update is rolling out to the Fenix 7 smartwatch and related models. Beta version 19.24 is a minor release with a sparse change log. This lists the resolution to a problem for Pro models, where the temperature was not recorded overnight as users slept. Plus, it states that there are other bug fixes and improvements, though no further details are provided.
This is the second update in the 19.xx beta testing cycle, following version 19.21, which brought improved map controls and bug fixes for issues with Connect IQ watch faces and the pool swim and multisport activities. As with 19.21, version 19.24 comes with other software updates for GPS (Version 12.00), Wireless (Version 28.19) and Sensor Hub (Version 32.22).
A member of the Garmin team indicates in a forum post that the software is available for the Fenix 7 (curr. $449.99 at Amazon US), Fenix 7 Pro, Epix 2, Epix 2 Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2 wearables; users of the Tactix 7 and MARQ Aviator Gen 2 cannot receive this update. Users need to manually trigger the update by going to Menu -> System -> Software Update -> Check For Updates. It is also worth noting that the ECG feature is disabled when using beta software.
