Firmware version 3.22.8.1 appears to be rolling out globally to one Amazfit smartwatch. Users in multiple countries have reported the update, which seems similar to the last major release. It is unclear whether this software resolves some of the bug fixes which users have flagged on Reddit.

A new update has started rolling out to the Amazfit Balance smartwatch. Software version 3.22.8.1 has been reported by users on Reddit, in places like the US and Eastern Europe. Amazfit has not officially announced the update, which appears to share many similarities with the last major release, firmware version 3.22.7.11.

The change log seems to list the same features, such as read-aloud notifications with Zepp Flow, the Hyrox Race sports mode and turn-by-turn prompts for route navigation. However, one user of the Amazfit Balance has reported that, since installing the update, the watch “seems faster”. Presumably, the release also includes fixes for bugs that have been spotted since the 3.22.7.11 update.

However, whether or not this update resolves an issue flagged on Reddit where users could not reset or factory reset their watches, is unclear. Plus, it appears that problems with notifications for apps like Telegram, which show the bottom rather than the top of the message, are still present. When it is available for your Amazfit Balance smartwatch, you will be able to download firmware version 3.22.8.1 via the Zepp App by going to Profile > My Devices > Amazfit Balance > System Update.
