Xiaomi releases new Redmi Watch 5 Lite in Europe as cheaper GPS smartwatch

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite smartwatch has arrived in Europe following its launch in India in September. The wearable has a square 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a 410 x 502 px resolution and a 75.80% screen-to-body ratio.

Features include five integrated Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) to track your movements, and exercise can be logged using over 150 training modes. There are health monitoring tools to measure your heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep quality and stress levels. You can receive Bluetooth calls thanks to dual built-in microphones, and a noise cancellation tool helps to improve call quality. Other features include a voice assistant, calendar and task management. According to Xiaomi, the wearable can run for up to 18 days on a single charge with typical use, 12 days with heavy use or seven days in AOD mode. The model is said to be waterproof up to 5ATM and offers over 200 watch faces.

Customers can choose between frames in Light Gold or Black with tonal TPU watch straps, or you can choose to buy a colored strap in Lemon Yellow, Mint Green and Candy Pink. You can buy the Redmi Watch 5 Lite in the UK for £39.99 and in EU countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany for €49.99. The price is slightly higher in other markets like Spain, where the watch sells for €52.99.
