Xiaomi has recently launched the Watch H1 E in China, which is now available to purchase online. The new wearable is similar to the original H1 model, though it is cheaper. You can use the watch to take blood pressure measurements with medical certification from a Chinese agency.

The Xiaomi Watch H1 E Wrist Blood Pressure Recorder is now more readily available in China. The wearable launched earlier in October in some physical stores, but has only recently reached the company’s websites.

The H1 E is similar to the earlier H1 launched last year. The main difference between the two versions appears to be the ECG included with the original model, and left out of the newer H1 E. Plus, the H1 has FDA medical certfication, while the H1 E is certified by an equivalent authority based in Beijing. One benefit of the H1 E seems to be automatic readings taken while you are sleeping based on the conditions; in the day, you are sent reminders to manually take a reading. Aside from this, the watches have many of the same features, such as the oscillometric method of taking blood pressure readings using a built-in micro air pump, said to be accurate to 3 mmHg.

Other tools include Bluetooth calling, tracking of biometrics like heart rate, skin temperature and blood oxygen level, as well as exercise logging with over 100 sports modes. The wearable has a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 466 x 466 px resolution and can run for up to 9 days with typical use. Despite the lack of ECG, the cost of the H1 E is CNY 1,899 (~$267), only CNY 100 (~$14) less than the RRP of the older H1. It is unclear whether or when the wearable could reach other markets like Europe. In the meantime, those in countries like Germany could buy a competitor model like the Huawei Watch D2 (curr. €405.99)
