Deal | RTX 4060-equipped MSI Cyborg 14 with 100% sRGB display drops to record-low price after solid 27% discount
MSI debuted the Cyborg 14 and Cyborg 15 gaming laptops at CES 2024. Featuring mid-range internals and FHD displays, the notebooks primarily target budget-conscious gamers who don’t want to spend a ton of cash.
Thanks to a new Best Buy deal, the smaller Cyborg 14 A13 is now cheaper than ever courtesy of a sizeable 27% savings. The discount trims $300 off the MSRP, resulting in the final Cyborg 14 price of just $799.99.
MSI Cyborg 14: Fast mid-range internals and a good display
At only $799.99, the MSI Cyborg 14 should satisfy most gamers thanks to the capable hardware on offer in the form of the RTX 4060 laptop GPU and the 10-core Core i7-13620H. Per our testing, the RTX 4060 is plenty fast for FHD/ultra gaming in all but the most demanding titles. As an example, the GPU plays games like God of War Ragnarok and Space Marines 2 at more than 60 FPS at FHD/ultra.
Similarly, the Core i7-13620H trades blows with the Ryzen AI 9 365 in single-core performance, meaning it is more than a match for the RTX 4060 and won’t be the bottleneck in most titles.
The MSI Cyborg 14 also packs a decent gaming panel. The 14-inch IPS display is sharp with FHD resolution, refreshes at a quick 144 Hz, and covers 100% of the sRGB gamut. Sadly, MSI has skipped on VRR technology which might result in tearing in some titles. So, if Nvidia G-Sync/AMD FreeSync is a priority for you, feel free to check out other deals.
Fortunately, MSI hasn’t skimped out too much, as the Cyborg 14 also features two SO-DIMM slots for memory expansion, a backlit keyboard, and a good port selection. The ports include:
- One Type-C port with DisplayPort
- A single HDMI 2.1 out
- Two Type-A ports
- A 3.5 mm audio jack
- One RJ45 ethernet jack
Overall, the MSI Cyborg 14 seems like a well-rounded mid-range gaming laptop that should make many gamers happy at the current price.
