MSI has taken the wraps off the Cyborg 15 AI and Cyborg 14 at CES 2024. Both laptops feature translucent design elements, an up to RTX 4060 laptop GPU, and two DDR5 slots for a maximum of 64 GB RAM. Aside from the screen size, the key difference between the two machines is that the Cyborg 15 AI is based around an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU while the Cyborg 14 tops out at a Core i7-13620H.

The MSI Cyborg 15 AI and the Cyborg 14 gaming notebooks are now official. The larger of the two, the Cyborg 15 AI, carries the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU and all the associated AI capabilities that Intel Meteor Lake’s built-in NPU offers. On the other hand, the Cyborg 14 is a new machine that brings the hardware of the 2023 Cyborg 15 A13V in a 14-inch chassis.

MSI Cyborg 15 AI

Starting with the 15.6-inch Cyborg 15 AI, the laptop can be configured with either an RTX 4050 or an RTX 4060 GPU. Both boards are paired with a Core Ultra 7 155H and a 15.6-inch display. The display boasts an FHD resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and IPS technology. On top of the display, there is an HD webcam capable of recording 720p video at 30 FPS.

Rounding off the internals of the Cyborg 15 AI are 2 DDR5 SO-DIMM slots for 64 GB of maximum RAM, a single PCIe Gen 4 SSD of up to 2 TB, and a 53.5 Wh battery.

Moving on to the port selection, the Cyborg 15 AI features a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DisplayPort, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 input, an ethernet jack, and one 3.5 mm combo jack. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3.

Other Cyborg 15 AI niceties include a 4-zone RGB keyboard and two 2 W speakers with support for DTS and Hi-Res audio.

MSI Cyborg 14

The MSI Cyborg 14 features almost the same hardware as the Cyborg 15 AI except for the display, keyboard backlight, CPU, and GPU options.

First up, the Cyborg 14 comes with a 14-inch IPS display with an FHD+ resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB coverage. All models of the Cyborg 14 will feature this configuration of the display.

Secondly, where the Cyborg 15 AI is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, the Cyborg 14 can only be configured with up to a Core i7-13620H which, at the top-end, is paired with an RTX 4060 laptop GPU, essentially matching the 2023 MSI Cyborg 15 A13V (Available on Amazon).

The rest of the Cyborg 14’s hardware is the same as the Cyborg 15 AI including connectivity options and battery capacity.

According to MSI, the Cyborg 14 will be available at an MSRP of $1,099 for an SKU with a Core i7-13620H, RTX 4060, and 16 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the company has yet to provide availability information for the Cyborg 15 AI and Cyborg 14.
