CES 2024 | MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio announced with Meteor Lake CPU and GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs
At first glance, the MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio could be passed off as a high-end gaming laptop. The two subsets often intersect, but in this case, its processor gives away its intent. Unlike the Titan 18 HX and Raider 18 HX, the Stealth 18 AI Studio goes the Meteor Lake route, indicating it wants to take advantage of the chip's onboard AI chops.
A creator laptop requires an excellent screen for colour-sensitive workloads, and the MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio delivers. It features an 18-inch UHD+ (3,840 x 2,400) 120 Hz mini-LED panel that is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Unfortunately, this can quickly drain the laptop's 99.9 Wh battery in a matter of hours.
The choice of CPU is limited to just the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, but one can pair it with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 or RTX 4070. The top-spec variant ships with 64 GB of DDR5 5,600 RAM and a 2 TB NVMe SSD. Users can add a second drive if required. Many Core Ultra 9 185H-powered laptops have been pushed to April 2024, and the Creator 18 AI Studio is no exception.
Other MSI Stealth 18 AI Studio features include one Thunderbolt 4.0 port, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5 mm combo audio jack and an SD card reader. For connectivity, there's Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and gigabit Ethernet. Despite being a creator laptop, MSI has decked out the Stealth 18 AI Studio with an RGB keyboard.
