Acer Predator Z57: Mini LED gaming monitor released in Europe and UK as pricing cut in North America
Acer has now begun selling its latest large-scale gaming monitor across Europe and the UK. For context, roughly six months has passed since Acer started selling the Predator Z57 in North America, after which it introduced the Predator X45 (curr. $1,599.99 on Amazon), Predator X49 X and Predator X49 V as smaller OLED gaming monitors.
To recap, Acer decided to drop the price of the Predator Z57 by $500 between announcing it and releasing it. Unfortunately, the same is not true for the monitor's European and UK launches. For reference, Acer stated that the Predator Z57 would reach the Eurozone for €2,399; it did not confirm UK pricing, though.
While Acer has now cut the Predator Z57 to $1,699.99 in the US, it has priced the same monitor at significantly more in Europe and the UK. Specifically, Acer is offering the monitor for €2,499.90 in the Eurozone and £2,199.99 in the UK, including VAT. In summary, the Predator Z57 features the following display characteristics:
- 57-inch IPS panel
- 7,680 x 2,160 (DUHD) native resolution (32:9 aspect ratio)
- 2,304 Mini LED backlight zones
- VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified
- 120 Hz refresh rate
