Redmi Monitor G27Q 2025: Xiaomi debuts new affordable 180 Hz gaming monitor in two variants
Xiaomi has expanded its gaming monitor range, a month after releasing the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i globally (curr. $369.99 on Amazon). While the company's latest monitors also feature 27-inch panels based around IPS technology, they miss out on the Mini LED local dimming zones of the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i.
Instead, the Redmi Monitor G27Q 2025 is styled as an affordable gaming monitor with what Xiaomi advertises as a 'Fast IPS' panel. In real terms, this means that the monitor delivers 1 ms GtG response times in its fastest mode. Unusually, the Redmi Monitor G27Q 2025 comes in two variants: one with a fixed stand and a second more expensive option with an ergonomic stand that allows the display to be rotated and adjusted as required.

According to Xiaomi, both Redmi Monitor G27Q 2025 variants output at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels with a 180 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness. Moreover, both are said to cover 100% and 95% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 colour spaces, respectively. However, while the more expensive model also offers AMD FreeSync support, its cheaper sibling makes do with VESA AdaptiveSync instead to mitigate image tearing.
Currently, the cheaper Redmi Monitor G27Q 2025 retails for CNY 869 (~$122) in China on Xiaomi's Youpin store. By contrast, the version with an ergonomic stand comes in at CNY 949 (~$133). Although Xiaomi has not confirmed availability outside China yet, it tends to release its Redmi gaming monitors internationally at some stage.
