Philips debuts new monitor with 32-inch 4K display, 90W USB-C power, and 122% sRGB coverage
Philips has launched the 32B1U3900, a 31.5-inch 4K UHD monitor with a resolution of 3840x2160. It features a VA LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, brightness level of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 3500:1. It supports 1.07 billion colors, with 122% sRGB and 106% NTSC coverage, providing accurate color reproduction for professional use. The display also features a 4ms grey-to-grey response time and a wide viewing angle of 178° both horizontally and vertically.
For connectivity, the 32B1U3900 comes with a USB-C docking station that provides up to 90W of power delivery, making it suitable for charging connected devices. The monitor also includes two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and multiple USB 3.2 ports (upstream and downstream). Additionally, it has an RJ45 Ethernet port for network connectivity and audio out options for external speakers or headphones.
The monitor is equipped with various ergonomic features, including 180mm height adjustment, -5/25° tilt, +/- 180° swivel, and 90° pivot. This would let users adjust the display as per their requirements. Eye strain is addressed with flicker-free tech and LowBlue Mode, which cuts down on harmful blue light emissions.
In terms of sustainability, the Philips 32B1U3900 is RoHS compliant, made from 85% post-consumer recycled plastic, and comes with fully recyclable packaging. The housing is free of PVC and BFR, mercury-free, and lead-free, which also aligns with environmental standards.
For basic audio needs, there are two inbuilt 3W x 2 speakers. Furthermore, the 32B1U3900 has SmartImage for picture enhancement, and SmartControl software for easy display adjustments. However, pricing isn't available on the Philips website yet.
