ViewSonic's new VX2563-HD-PRO gaming monitor features a 24.5" FHD Fast IPS display, 300Hz refresh rate and HDR10
ViewSonic has introduced the VX2563-HD-PRO, a 24.5-inch gaming monitor with several standout features targeted towards competitive gamers. The display is built with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) and utilizes an IPS panel, which offers wide viewing angles of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically. The screen supports up to 300Hz refresh rate, coupled with a minimal 1ms response time that should cut down on motion blur and ghosting.
The VX2563-HD-PRO’s visual performance is further aided by its sRGB color coverage of 99% for accurate color reproduction. The contrast ratios are notable too, featuring a static contrast of 1000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000,000:1, which contributes to more depth, especially in darker scenes. Alongside HDR10, The display also supports AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync to eliminate screen tearing.
For connectivity, the monitor comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and an audio-out jack. The ergonomic design allows for a forward tilt of up to 5 degrees and backward tilt up to 15 degrees, though it lacks height adjustment and swivel features which are typically seen in higher-end gaming monitors. Additionally, the VX2563-HD-PRO comes with a VESA mount option (100 x 100mm) for wall or monitor arm installation.
The gaming monitor weighs 2.8 kg without the stand, making it lightweight for its category. With its array of features and a neat design, the VX2563-HD-PRO will definitely catch the eyes of gamers who prefer both - that is, if FHD gaming isn't a big issue for them.
