Affordable Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G24i makes global debut with 180 Hz display and AMD FreeSync

The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G24i has made its global debut, and it's the most affordable option in the new lineup. It has an FHD IPS screen that the company claims is ideal for competitive gamers. The 23.8-inch panel has a 180 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GTG response time to ensure smooth visuals.

To enhance the smoothness even further, Xiaomi has integrated AMD FreeSync, which lowers tearing when the game's FPS suddenly dips. The screen of the Gaming Monitor G24i can also display HDR content. Xiaomi says that the onboard chip can enhance the saturation and brightness for vivid game visuals.

Of course, this new monitor isn't strictly for gaming. Xiaomi notes that the Gaming Monitor G24i has gone through Delta E < 2 professional color calibration. This makes the display capable of outputting accurate colors, which is quite important for content creation and creative works.

Xiaomi has also designed a gaming monitor with comfort in mind. It has TÜV Low Blue Light Certification, ensuring eye comfort even during prolonged viewing sessions. The build quality also appears to be decent. It has a slim body, narrow bezels, and a tilt mechanism.

Other highlights of the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G24i include a decent selection of ports, joystick control, and a sleek outlook. The company hasn't revealed the pricing yet, but it is listed on an authorized Philippine reseller store for ₱6,499 (about $115).
