The BOOX T10C is a new Android tablet with an E Ink Kaleido color display for the Chinese market. It has stylus support, several productivity features, and boasts a slim profile.

Onyx has expanded its lineup of E Ink tablets with a new model in China. The BOOX T10C arrives with a 10.3-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color touch display with support for stylus input. Like several BOOX models, this also runs Android, albeit version 12, out of the box.

The BOOX T10C's Kaleido 3 display has a 2480 x 1860 resolution with support for up to 4096 colors. It also brings version 2.0 of BOOX's Super Refresh technology (BSR) which reduces ghosting and makes flipping through pages smoother. It sits inside a CNC aluminum alloy body that's pretty thin at 5.5mm, making it slimmer than the BOOX Tab Ultra C which is 6.7mm thick.

The device is powered by an unnamed Snapdragon octa-core chipset clocked at 2.4GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Surprisingly, there's no microSD card slot for adding more storage, but the USB-C port has OTG function, so you should be able to plug a thumb drive.

Because the BOOX T10C runs Android, it is able to perform multiple functions an average e-reader isn't capable of such as the ability to install apps, use two apps side by side, or cast to an external display. There's also an AI app that can help generate ideas and summarize text.

Thanks to having stylus support, users can highlight texts, annotate documents and even annotate on third-party apps, sketch, and take down notes using preinstalled templates. There's also support for handwriting to text conversion and a built-in audio recorder with speech to text.

The BOOX T10C has dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a sensor for auto-rotation, a built-in speaker, and packs a 3,700mAh battery. It is priced at CNY 3499 (~$492) and comes with an electromagnetic stylus in the box.

We don't know when or if it will get a global release but there's the BOOX Tablet Note Air 3C available on Amazon for $499. It has a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color screen too with stylus support but a MediaTek processor, 64GB of expandable storage, a fingerprint scanner, but the same 3,700mAh battery capacity.
