M4 MacBook Air likely to debut in early 2025, along with iPad Air 7 and new Magic Keyboards
Apple is lining up its ducks for yet another launch event, with the M4-powered MacBook Pro and Mac Mini expected to hit the scene early next month. This is according to a recent report from Mark Gurman, who has maintained a rather positive track record. Moreover, the prominent analyst has also shed some light on when we might expect to see newer iPad and MacBook Air models.
According to Mark's projections, Apple's upcoming early-November launch of M4-powered Macs will include an iPad announcement as well, more specifically, the iPad Mini 7. Not much else is known about the device at this point, but a spec bump is likely in order for the pint-sized powerhouse.
As for the larger iPad Air lineup, Mark expects an early 2025 refresh for both the 11- and 13-inch iPad Air variants. Interestingly, a new Magic Keyboard will also accompany the updated iPad Air lineup. 13- and 15-inch variants of the MacBook Air will also receive the M4 treatment within the first half of the year, likely during Spring.
Of course, early rumors, especially those regarding launch timelines are always to be accepted with a grain of salt. That being said, it does seem likely that Mark's forecasts will turn out to be true, considering his expectations do fall in line with behavior that is typical of Apple.
