Deal | Epomaker beats Amazon to Black Friday punch with up to 40%-off mechanical keyboard deals in 11.11 sale
Epomaker is one of the bigger mainstream enthusiast mechanical keyboard brands around, and its known for delivering decent build quality, features, and typing feel at comparatively low prices. Now, thanks to the 11.11 Big Sale Event — essentially a Black Friday sale — many of the best Epomaker keyboards are massively discounted.
Epomaker TH 80-X keyboard - 40% off
While many of the discounts during the sale event kicking off the sale are somewhat uninspiring, the 75% Epomaker TH 80-X keyboard is down from $99.99 to just $59.99. Epomaker TH 80-X is a tri-mode wired and wireless keyboard with Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, and USB Type-C connectivity and some unique visual and functional touches. For starters, the Epomaker TH 80-X packs both a customisable LCD and a customisable volume knob.
While the TH 80-X doesn't offer QMK or VIA compatibility, making customisation on Linux impossible, Epomaker's customisation software is available for key remapping and customising the little LCD above the right navigation cluster. The TH 80-X comes equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery that should provide at least a few days of battery life with the RGB backlighting set to low or off — although Epomaker omits any battery life claims on its site. In keeping with current custom mechanical keyboard trends, the TH 80-X has a gasket mount and EVA foam layer between the PCB and metal plate for a softer typing feel, as well as cotton case filler for sound damping.
In terms of stock configurations, the Epomaker TH 80-X comes in two colour ways, both of which use somewhat of a lighter, pastel colour palette:
- Mint Green: A green case and keycaps with white and peach accent keycaps.
- Grey Green (currently sold-out): A light grey case with white keycaps and darker grey and green accent keycaps.
At the time of writing, the Mint Green colourway is the only one available, although the Grey Green colour way may be restocked soon. The Mint Green version is available with heavier Gateron Black (60 gf) or lighter Gateron Yellow (50 gf) switches, but these can be swapped out, thanks to the keyboard's hot-swap PCB.
Discounted hot-swap switches from Epomaker
Along with keyboards and other keyboard accessories, many of Epomaker's hot-swap key switches are available at discounted prices, making modding and keyboard customisation simple:
- Epomaker Comte Semi-silent switch (30 pcs): $21.59, down from $39.99.
- Epomaker Wisteria PTFE+POM tactile or linear switch set (30 pcs): $9.99, down from $11.99.
- Cherry MX Black, Blue, Brown, or Red switch set (15 pcs): $14.99, down from $19.99.
Epomaker hasn't yet announced all the deals that will be available during the 11.11 Big Sale Event, although it has teased some tantalising bundle deals coming in the second week of the sale that will bring discounts of up to 48% on packages containing a keyboard, extra switches, and a keycap set.
