Bigme B1051C: Tablet comes with Android 14, a color E Ink display, an EMR pencil and keyboard support
Bigme has a new tablet with an E Ink screen on offer - or an Android-based e-reader. The device can be used with a wide variety of programs and there are no major restrictions at a software level, and its E Ink screen means that users can comfortably display and read long texts. According to the manufacturer, the panel has a fast refresh rate thanks to a special technology, and ghosting is said not to be an issue. Colors are supposedly displayed more brightly and with greater contrast than your typical e-reader or E Ink device.
The Kaleido 3 panel measures 10.3 inches diagonally and, as usual, the color display resolution of 930 x 1,240 is only half as high as when displaying content in black and white. The illumination of the screen can be adjusted in 36 levels, in warm or cold light. The tablet measures 184.4 x 236.5 millimeters and is 5.5 millimeters thick.
Bigme installs the MediaTek Dimensity 900 as the SoC, which enable the installed Android 14 OS to run smoothly. The RAM is 6 GB, while the internal storage measures 128 GB and can be expanded via a microSD card. The 435 gram tablet has a fingerprint sensor and comes with an EMR stylus. The camera can be used to recognize text. Four microphones and speakers are installed, and dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth allow for fast connectivity and the connection of a keyboard. The battery has a capacity of 3,700 mAh.
The Bigme B1051C is now available directly from the manufacturer for a price of $639: potential buyers should inform themselves in advance about shipping terms. A possible alternative could be the Bigme inkNote Color, available at Amazon.
