Apple's M4 SoC is no slouch - we already knew that. However, Apple's 14-inch MacBook Pro allows the M4 to truly flex its muscles with active cooling, and the results are outrageous, crushing its Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm counterparts by as much as 62%.

Apple’s M4 MacBook Pro has somehow landed in the hands of not one, but two Russian YouTubers almost a month before launch. How they slipped past Apple's security remains anyone's guess, but on the brighter side, we now have a few benchmark scores that portray how well Apple's M4 SoC operates when actively cooled.

We have already reported on the recently leaked Geekbench scores for Apple’s M4-powered MacBook Pro, but those were hardly of any attraction since we have already witnessed the M4 SoC in the OLED iPad Pro. However, YouTuber Romancev768's recently uploaded video included a Cinebench 2024 run on the M4 MacBook Pro, and the scores are beyond impressive.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro managed a single-core score of 174, and a multi-core score of a whopping 971. These results are astonishing to say the least, considering the single-core improvement over the M3 sits at a decent 20%, while the leap in the multi-core department is an astronomical 37%. Even the higher-end M3 Pro trails behind the M4 by almost 8%. For a generational upgrade, these numbers are extremely promising.

When compared to its competitors, the M4 CPU in the 14-inch MacBook Pro appears to be at an undisputable advantage. When compared with Intel's Core Ultra 9 288V 'Lunar Lake', the M4 comes out a whopping 42% ahead in single-core, and 62% ahead in multi-core performance. AMD's Ryzen 9 AI HX 370, despite being more of a competitor for the M4 Pro, falls behind the M4 by a whopping 33% in single-core performance, while being almost neck and neck in multi-core despite its much more generous power envelope.

Considering these scores, it is going to be incredibly exciting to witness what Apple has in store for the M4 Pro and M4 Max variants. The most recent estimate from a renowned analyst hints at a November 1 launch event, which means we likely won't have to wait long to see Apple wipe the floor with the competition.
