Incase has introduced its latest accessory as a stealthy new way to protect your new MacBook on the go. The Edge Hardshell Case has versions to fit both 14- and 16-inch M4-based Pro models, and is rated to boost the laptops' durability while barely adding to their bulk thanks to reinforcement with custom Makrolon polycarbonate. Accordingly, it is touted to add a barely noticeable protective layer to the new Apple flagship ultrabooks.

Incase touts its latest case as a way to provide additional protection for the MacBook Pro with as little impact on its footprint and iconic shape - not to mention the visibility of its Apple logo.

The top half of the case is more like a bumper for the laptop's lid in truth with a wide raised lip to guard its potentially vulnerable corners from dents, nicks and scratches thanks to its construction from Incase's Makrolon polycarbonate.

The bottom half incorporates rubber feet to keep the MacBook steady on smooth surfaces, and is rated to fit seamlessly around its buttons, ports and status LED. Incase also indicates that it should not impede the laptop's ventilation or lightweight nature.

Both halves of the accessory has a matte finish for extra grip and scratch-resistance. In keeping with its minimal ethic, the only other alternative to the case's transparent version is finished in black.

The Edge Hardshell Case is available in 14- and 16-inch SKUs, each of which is backwards-compatible with the M1-, M2 and M3-based MacBook Pro of their respective sizes as well as the latest M4-powered variants.

It starts at $49.99 via Incase or Best Buy and is available from now.
