Casio G SHOCK GA-B2100CD to get Galápagos-themed overhaul for new Charles Darwin Foundation watch series
Casio has announced the release of two new G-Shock GA-B2100CD watches as part of their ongoing collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation. These two limited-edition watches are designed to support conservation efforts in the Galápagos Islands and are inspired by the marine iguana and Galápagos penguin.
The two models—GA-B2100CD-1A4 and GA-B2100CD-1A7—come in distinct color schemes. The GA-B2100CD-1A4 features a black and red design, reminiscent of the marine iguana, while the GA-B2100CD-1A7 comes in black and white, like the Galápagos penguin. Both models are built on the GA-B2100 base, and they are equipped with modern features like Tough Solar power, Bluetooth smartphone link, and a Carbon Core Guard case.
Each watch is constructed with renewable bio-based resin, keeping with the environmental theme of the collection. The design has many unique details, including an animal-shaped subdial indicator, a silhouette of the Galápagos Islands on the band keeper, and a declaration of support for conservation printed on the strap. The Charles Darwin Foundation logo is also engraved on the stainless steel case back. Additionally, the packaging is plastic-free, further aligning with the eco-friendly theme.
The GA-B2100CD-1A4 and GA-B2100CD-1A7 are expected to be released worldwide in November 2024.
