Casio’s G-SHOCK Women’s Collection debuts with eco-friendly bio-resin and 3 chic shades for $130

Casio’s G-SHOCK line has long been celebrated for combining durability with impressive designs, making it a go-to choice for a lot of watch enthusiasts around the globe who seek both functionality and style. Now, with the introduction of the GMAP2100ST series, Casio is adding new models to its G-SHOCK Women’s collection. The new watches aim to balance sleek aesthetics with sustainable materials, making them a great choice for fashion-conscious, eco-friendly consumers. For reference, the company also recently unveiled new G-SHOCK watches with up to 10-year battery life.

What sets the GMAP2100ST series apart is its use of bio-based resin, a renewable material used in the bezel and band. This resin is sourced from organic resources, which reduces reliance on fossil fuels and lowers the environmental impact of production. While eco-friendly, the material doesn’t compromise the durability G-SHOCK is known for—these watches still offer the same shock resistance and 20-bar water resistance that the brand is famous for.

Each watch in the collection features a matte and pearlescent coating on the bezel and band, creating a soft, light-reflective finish. Available in pink, white, and beige, the timepieces are designed in lighter shades to complement most outfits, Casio states.

Apart from being minimalist and stylish, the watches include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, world time for 48 cities, five daily alarms, and a double LED light for visibility in low-light settings. Priced at $130, the GMAP2100ST is available at select retailers, online at gshock.com, and at the G-SHOCK Soho store.
