New full-metal G SHOCK GMC-B2100: Casio adds solar-powered, Bluetooth-enabled chronograph to 2100 series
Casio recently introduced the GMC-B2100, a full-metal chronograph to its G SHOCK series, part of the 2100 Style lineup. This model's highlight is its durable design and signature bezel.
The watch features a full-metal octagonal bezel and three functional inset dials for a fully analog design. The band and bezel are treated with a refined hairline finish, while the sloped sides of the bezel are polished to a mirror-like shine. The indexes and dials use fine processing techniques, including vapor deposition, which improves both the texture and readability. The iconic octagonal design is integrated into the inset dial at the 9 o’clock position, while a screw-down crown completes the full-metal construction.
The GMC-B2100 is powered by Casio’s Tough Solar technology, which converts light into energy to reduce the need for battery changes. It also includes Casio’s Mobile Link feature, which connects via Bluetooth for accurate timekeeping, world time adjustments, and easy access to other functions like alarms and reminders when used with the CASIO WATCHES app.
This new model retains the size and design elements of the original 2100 Style but incorporates a fully metal construction for a more robust feel. Casio has been on a launch spree as of late, recently releasing a Gundam collab watch as well as the G-SHOCK G-Line watches with tide charts.
