Limited edition G SHOCK x GT-R watch to be launched in October by Nissan
Nissan Japan has announced the upcoming release of the sixth collaboration between its GT-R sports car line and Casio’s G-SHOCK watches. This year’s model is a limited edition G-SHOCK DW-5600 (the DW5600E-1V is available for $49 on Amazon), a matte black timepiece with a distinctive GT-R design. The watch is part of Nissan’s larger launch of forty new items in the Nissan Collection of original goods, coinciding with the GT-R’s ongoing vehicle launches.
The DW-5600 features a positive LCD display (the numbers or characters on the screen are dark, usually black, while the background is light, typically gray or white), black buttons, a black buckle, and the iconic GT-R logo prominently displayed on the face. The logo is also engraved on the stainless steel case back. Accompanying the watch is a custom tin case, branded with the GT-R logo.
The G-SHOCK watch will retail for ¥19,800 (approximately $133) and is set to go on sale on October 17, 2024, provided it's not affected by the recent cyberattack on Casio. It will be available at select Nissan locations, including Nissan dealerships across Japan, the Global Headquarters Gallery, the Nissan Boutique at Nissan Crossing, and through the Nissan Online Shop (shipping limited to Japan).
