Casio launches new PRO TREK PRG-340SC watches with triple sensor

The PRO TREK PRG-340SC wearables’ triple sensor lets you navigate using a digital compass, track the air pressure and altitude with a barometer and altimeter, and learn the current temperature in your environment. Plus, the trek log can store up to 14 readings, allowing you to monitor changes. The watches have a dual-layer LCD, enabling two data sets to be stacked, one on top of the other. For example, temperature measurements can be shown on the bottom layer, with compass graphics displayed over the top. Another feature is the Super Illuminator LED backlight, automatically providing a high level of brightness in darker conditions.

The watches can run for up to seven months with typical use, though solar charging should enable them to function longer than this. Other features include a rotating direction bezel, sunrise and sunset time display, a stopwatch and world time across 48 cities. The watches have 10 bar water resistance, can operate in temperatures as low as -10°C (~14°F) and weigh 60g (~2.1oz). The watches come with a Dura Soft band with a speckled pattern, achieved by mixing in leftover resin scraps from Casio’s manufacturing process.
