Limited edition Casio G-Shock DW-5600 series watches on the way

Two new limited edition Casio G-Shock DW-5600 series watches will launch in Japan in the next few months. These new variants are part of a collaboration with Kochi United Sports Club, a football team in the J3 League in this country.

The first watch is based on the DW-5600EP-4, with the same red resin casing and band. However, it has the Kochi United SC badge and stripes in matching colors on the lower strap. The second watch is made with black resin, based on the DW-5600RW-1, featuring the rainbow brick wall design around the digital display. This Kochi United SC variant also features the club badge on one strap.

Features of these shock-resistant digital watches include a fully automatic calendar and a five year battery life estimate. There are tools like a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer with a 24-hour range, and alarm and hourly time signals. Plus, the time can be displayed in 12 or 24 hour formats, and a built-in LED backlight helps you to read the display when it is dark. On top of this, the watches are water resistant to 20 ATM and will remain accurate to within 15 seconds each month.

The Casio x Kochi United SC G-Shock DW-5600 watches will go on sale in Japan for ¥19,800 (~$141). They will first be available at the club’s match against Nara Club on June 8th, with only 40 units of the red model and 10 of the black watch. Sales are limited to one per customer, and only those who are fan club members or season ticket holders will be able to make a purchase.
