Rumors suggest that a new Casio LF-30W watch is on the way. Four models in this new series appear to have leaked via retailers in Vietnam and Macau: the LF-30W-1A (black), the LF-30W-2A (blue), the LF-30W-3A (green/khaki), and the LF-30W-8A (cream).
Images at Watchstore.vn and also shared via r/skxmod on Reddit reveal many details about this new analog-style Casio watch. It will have a resin casing and strap and an amber LED backlight to help you read the digital display in low lighting. The calendar is fully automatic, and the watch is expected to remain accurate within 30 seconds each month.
The LW-30W supports world time, with a map in the top right-hand corner showing your approximate time zone location. Left of this are status indicators for tools like the alarm and hourly time signal. Other tools include a 1/100-second stopwatch and a countdown timer, which can run for up to 24 hours. The time can be displayed in 12 or 24 hour formats, and the day and date are also shown. It has also been revealed that this watch will run for around 3 years on a CR161 battery.
Details surrounding the launch of the Casio LF-30W watches have yet to be officially confirmed. It is expected to launch this May in Japan. As for the price, a retailer in Vietnam is advertising the watch for VND 1,091,000 (~$41.99). Whether or when it could be released in markets like the US or the EU is unclear.
