The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Crystal Dual Tank Electric Water Heater 60L P10 is about to launch in China. The product is said to provide “crystal clear” tanks with reduced mineral build-ups thanks to a newer tank lining material. Xiaomi also suggests that the device offers a 99.5% scale prevention rate to protect the inner tank and pipes.
The Mijia Electric Water Heater P10 has a 60L capacity, but Xiaomi claims that it can deliver 840L hot water continuously in around 168 minutes. There is a 3,300W heating element, said to work rapidly, offering a temperature range of 30 to 80°C (~86 to 176°F). Plus, the P10 can deliver hot water on demand. This is thanks in part to household usage monitoring, which allows the heater to estimate how much hot water you need and when, automatic pre-heating as necessary.
Alternatively, you can remotely control the water heater via the Mi Home app. Here, you can reserve hot water, view your usage and even trigger sterilization; according to Xiaomi, the water heater delivers a 99.99% sterilization rate. Plus, thanks to HyperOS, you can link the P10 to other smart home devices. Xiaomi describes this dual-tank model as slim, listing its measurements as 607 x 357 x 780 mm (~23.9 x 14.1 x 30.7 inches). It is designed for use in the bathroom, with an IPX4 water resistance rating. Plus, the company offers a five-year warranty for the product, and it has a Level 1 Energy Efficiency certification in China.
Xiaomi will sell the Mijia Smart Crystal Dual Tank Electric Water Heater 60L P10 in China for CNY 3,999 (~$549). The company has yet to announce plans to bring this smart home device to other markets like Europe, where it already sells products like the Mi Smart Space Heater S (curr. €99.99 at Xiaomi DE).
