Lenovo Xiaoxin Whale new color inkjet multifunction printer arrives
Lenovo has unveiled the Xiaoxin Whale Color Inkjet Multifunction Printer in China. This 3-in-1 device can be used for color printing, copying and scanning. According to the company, you can print up to 7,000 pages on a single set of ink cartridges. However, it is worth noting that this model does not support duplex printing, like the older Xiaoxin Elephant printer.
The Xiaoxin Whale printer offers dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. This allows you to remotely share print jobs from your smartphone, laptop or tablet; the model is advertised as compatible with a range of Windows and MacOS devices. Controls are available via the brand’s app, or you can use WeChat for one-click remote printing. Plus, there is support for multiple simultaneous connections, allowing up to 20 users at any time. Alternatively, you can physically connect a device via the integrated USB-A port.
The Lenovo Xiaoxin Whale Color Inkjet Multifunction Printer is now available in China for CNY 899 (~$123). This is a discounted price for early customers, with the RRP listed as CNY 1,099 (~$151). It seems unlikely that this product will reach markets like North America or Europe, as Lenovo does not currently sell its own printers here.
