Dreame has announced the launch of its new Robotic Lawn Mower A2. This model will arrive a few weeks after the Dreame A1 Pro; both smart home devices were on show last year at IFA 2024.
The Robotic Lawn Mower A2 features several upgrades over the original A1. These include the OmniSense 2.0 navigation system, combining a 3D LiDAR sensor with an HDR camera for a 70 m (~230 ft) detection radius. As with its predecessor, the A2 does not require a boundary wire or RTK stations. Dreame also indicates that this model has enhanced object recognition.
The EdgeMaster cutting system is another new tool for the A2, where the blade extends to the side, allowing it to trim within 5 cm from the edge of your lawn. The new hub motor allows the robot to tackle steeper slopes up to 50% (26.5°). The maximum recommended garden size is 3,000 m² (~0.75 acres), an increase on the 2,000 m² (~0.5 acres) of the A1. Other features include remote app-based controls, where you can adjust the mowing mode and manage maps and zones. Plus, the model is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
The Dreame Robotic Lawn Mower A2 will launch in European countries like the Netherlands, France and Spain on March 18th for €2,799. Those who purchase the new model before March 31st will get a €300 discount, reducing the cost to €2,499. The product will be available at the Dreame online store as well as via third-party retailers like Amazon, Leroy Merlin and Fnac. As a reminder, the Dreame Robotic Lawn Mower A1 was launched in Europe with a €1,999 RRP, but it typically retails for €1,399 now (curr. €1,348 at Amazon DE).
