Dreame Technology, the company better known for robot vacuums and smart home gadgets, has made an audacious leap into the world of high-performance automobiles. On September 10, company founder Yu Hao published the first official renders of Dreame’s upcoming electric hypercar, promising nothing less than “the world’s fastest” EV — a bold claim that puts the company in direct contention with legendary marques like Bugatti.
The debut renders reveal a hypercar that appears to unmistakably channel the spirit of the iconic Bugatti Chiron. According to the auto media outlet Dongchedi, Dreame’s design team has taken clear inspiration from the French hypercar icon, especially in the car’s aggressive front profile and aerodynamic silhouette.
Dreame isn’t shy about its aspirations. The company is positioning its debut model as an “ultra-luxury, pure-electric” vehicle and openly benchmarks the Bugatti Veyron — a car that once held the title of world’s fastest production vehicle. Details on the powertrain, range, or price remain under wraps, but Dreame says a full prototype will make its global debut at CES in Las Vegas next year.
Inside, Dreame’s EV embraces the so-called “new energy vehicle” design language: minimalist yet futuristic, with a two-spoke steering wheel and a massive digital display dominating the dashboard. It’s a clear nod to the trends driving China’s surging premium EV segment, where digital experiences matter just as much as raw horsepower.
The images arrive weeks after Dreame formally announced its entry into the automotive sector. In an August 28 statement, the company confirmed that its first production vehicle is scheduled for a 2027 launch. Dreame is reportedly in the final stages of selecting a manufacturing site in Berlin, Germany — right next door to Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin. The move signals Dreame’s intent to compete on a global stage, not just in its home market.
Adding to the intrigue, Chinese outlet Jiemian reports that Dreame is negotiating a strategic partnership with BNP Paribas, one of Europe’s largest banks, to support its international expansion. With deep pockets, big-name partnerships, and a knack for disrupting markets, Dreame’s next chapter could be its most daring yet. Whether the “world’s fastest” claim holds up remains to be seen — but one thing is clear: the EV world has a provocative new challenger on the grid.
