Dreame has launched the A1 Pro robot lawn mower in various European countries. This is the second version of the product, with the original released last year. Both versions were on show at IFA 2024, where the company demonstrated their differences.
The main upgrade found on the A1 Pro is the wheels. The new all-terrain wheels are said to provide improved traction, meaning that this version of the robot can handle tougher terrain and a wider range of weather conditions. However, the maximum slope handling capability remains the same at 45% or 24°.
Aside from a couple of minor design tweaks, the features appear to be the same as the A1. The Dreame A1 Pro uses OmniSense, a LiDAR navigation and obstacle avoidance technology, allowing it to efficiently move around your garden without the need for boundary wires or an RTK antenna. According to the company, the mower is suited to lawns around 1,000 m² (~10,800 ft²) in size, which it can mow in 24 hours in standard mode. In the Dreamehome app, you can remotely trigger the mower or schedule future jobs, manage the map and control settings like cutting height.
You can now pre-order the Dreame A1 Pro robot lawn mower at Amazon in countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany at Amazon for €1,599. According to the product listing, it will be released on February 10th in France and Germany, though customers in the Netherlands may have to wait until August. As a reminder, the first model originally retailed for €1,999, but it is now priced at around €1,499. It is unclear whether or when the Pro version could arrive in other markets like the US.
