The SwitchBot app for iOS has been updated to version 9.7. This release arrives around one month after versions 9.6 and 9.6.1, which enhanced the chart feature for some devices and added a widget that allows you to control the Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ (curr. $299.99 at Amazon) and K10+ Pro from your iPhone Home Screen.
SwitchBot app version 9.7 enables the Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro Combo to act as a Matter secondary device when connected to one of the brand’s hubs. For the Pan/Tilt Cam Plus series, there are two new cloud storage plans: a Family Plan, which supports up to 10 smart home products, and an Unlimited Plan. On top of this, Apple Watch users can now control the Robot Vacuum K10+ and K10+ Pro on their wearable.
For the SwitchBot Meter Pro (CO2 Monitor), users can now see the detected temperature and humidity in the app on the associated home page card. Also affecting users of the Meter, Meter Plus, I/O Meter, Hub 2, and Hub Mini (Matter-enabled) are improvements for the scrolling experience on charts. Finally, SwitchBot indicates that it has optimized the dialog box used to rename a device.
The company requests that, should users spot any issues with this latest update, they register their feedback on the app’s Support page. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether or when the SwitchBot app version 9.7 could reach Android users.
