Home Assistant has provided four patch releases since the launch of 2025.2 earlier this month. This builds on the January backup system refresh, with improvements like Google Drive and OneDrive integrations.
The latest patch release, 2025.2.4, arrived on February 14th; here, there was a minor update to the frontend and a fix for an issue linked to Tuya Smart Thermostat Radiator Valve (TRV). The previous patch, 2025.2.3, added a missing state, “EMERGENCY_HEAT”, for the EcoNet Smart Thermostat. Other releases prevent the use of the current temperature for the External Temperature for the Shelly BLU TRV. Plus, they ensure that crashes no longer occur if a Telegram message fails without generating an ID and
Linked to the wider backup system improvements, you can now use resumable uploads for Google Drive and separate metadata files for OneDrive. On top of this, there are a couple of bug fixes for problems with LG webOS TV, as well as updates linked to Govee and Google Nest smart home devices.
