The Philips Hue iOS app has been updated to version 5.36.0. This is the first update for the smart home app this month. It follows version 5.34.0, which arrived in late January, marking the official launch of the Arming schedule Automation. It is unclear why version 5.35 was not released publicly.
Philips Hue app version 5.36 brings a new organization tool for users. According to the release notes, users can now move grouped scenes to a new group. Plus, there is the ability to ungroup these scenes. To access this tool, tap on the three dots icon from any Room in the app. As a reminder, you need a Hue Bridge (curr. $42 at Amazon) to set up multiple Rooms.
Rumors suggest that Philips Hue is working on enhancing the app's search function. Apparently, this will add the ability to scan a QR code rather than searching for a serial number. However, it remains to be seen when this enhancement will become available to users. You can now download the Philips Hue app version 5.36 for iOS from the Apple App Store. It remains to be seen when a similar update will roll out to Android users.
