Govee has launched a new version of the BR30 E26 Smart LED Colored Light Bulb with support for Matter in the US. Like the original, this latest model is an RGBWW bulb for dimmable lighting, with an adjustable color temperature between 2,700 and 6,500K and millions of colors on offer.
Despite the addition of Matter compatibility, the new BR30 E26 smart LED bulbs are cheaper than their predecessors. As such, they have a lower peak brightness level of 850 lumens rather than 1,200 lumens, with the wattage also reduced to 9.5W from 11.5W. The estimated energy cost for the new bulb is listed at $1.35 per year, a 17% increase on the $1.15 estimate for the older version.
Thanks to Matter support, you can integrate the new Govee BR30 smart bulb with a wide range of smart home ecosystems for remote app-based controls and voice commands. On top of this, in the Govee Home app, you can set timers and schedules for your smart lights and select from more than 50 preset scenes, including music sync modes.
You can now buy the new Govee BR30 E26 Smart LED Colored Light Bulbs in a 2-pack, 4-pack or 6-pack for $29.99, $45.99 and $69.99, respectively. Plus, those who purchase these products before the end of February are offered various in-page coupons, reducing the cost by $8 to $15. For comparison, the equivalent packs of the original Govee BR30 bulbs retail for $39.99, $79.99 and $99.99, respectively.
