The Decathlon Rockrider E-ACTV 100 e-bike has launched earlier than expected. Unveiled in early February, this is the new entry-level model for the E-ACTV range. At the press event, Decathlon indicated that this electric bicycle would go on sale in March. However, the high-frame version, which comes with an anthracite gray frame, is now available in various European countries.
In France and Spain, customers can now buy the L/XL size for €999.99, suitable for riders from 1.72 m to 1.95 m tall. In other markets, like the Netherlands and Ireland, both the S/M and L/XL variants are available, with the smaller model designed for those who are 1.50 m to 1.72 m tall. It is worth noting that the e-bike is more expensive in the Netherlands, where it retails for €1,030.
The E-ACTV 100 is powered by a rear-hub 250W 45Nm motor, with a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~ 16 mph) and three assistance modes. The accompanying 356 Wh battery is said to provide up to 70 km (~44 miles) assistance in Eco mode, fully recharging in 4.5 hours. Other features of the 6-speed model include a Microshift RD M21 rear derailleur, a Rockrider Trekking suspension fork with 60 mm travel, mechanical disc brakes and Rockrider Trekking all-terrain tires.
Accessories include fenders, integrated lighting, an LED controller, and an SP connect mount for your smartphone. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can view real-time speed, distance, and battery level information on your smartphone, with further journey statistics available in the app after your ride. Presumably, the low-frame version with a pearl gray frame will launch in mid-March per Decathlon’s original timeline.
