Segway has unveiled the E150S eScooter, an L1e-B category vehicle. It is a more powerful successor to the E110S and E125S models and is designed for commuting and urban rides.
The E150S is powered by a 2.7 kW nominal power (3.6 kW peak power) motor for a top speed of 45 kph. The accompanying 74V 27 Ah lithium-ion battery is said to deliver up to 60 km (WMTC estimate) range, and users can purchase up to two additional batteries, which would extend the range to 180 km (WMTC estimate). According to Segway, each battery pack can be recharged in under 2.5 hours.
Features include dual-channel ABS, a traction control system, hill holder control and a reverse mode. There is a smart TFT screen providing an intelligent riding system with integrated navigation. It is worth noting that this would be a paid feature that is only available in some regions. Plus, it is currently in development and will arrive post-launch via an over-the-air (OTA) update.
Other accessories include a Class-D LED headlight, an automatic handlebar lock and an anti-skid seat. Customers will be able to choose from four versions, either glossy with a chrome finish or matte with a black finish. The Segway E150S eScooter will launch in Europe in the second half of 2025. An exact release date and the pricing of the model have yet to be announced.
