Segway has launched its fastest electric scooter, the GT3 Pro SuperScooter. The GT3 Pro has an MSRP of $2,699.99 and is available for sale on the company's website. Readers can also check the Segway store on Amazon.
Equipped with dual 3,500W motors and a 72V 2,160Wh battery, the GT3 Pro is designed to reach a max speed of 50 mph (80 kph) while cruising on 11-inch self-sealing tires. The scooter has a rated range from 34 miles at 50 mph to 86 miles at 15.5 mph. Anti-lock disc brakes and the SegRide Stability Enhancement System are designed to help prevent slips and falls while coming to a stop on unstable and wet surfaces.
For off-roading comfort, the hydraulic rear trailing arm is coupled with a hydraulic front linkage that has 15 steps of suspension stiffness adjustment. The GT3 Pro has a ground clearance of 5.7 in. and can climb slopes with a grade up to 38%, according to Segway.
Battery status, map directions, and incoming call alerts can be monitored using the 2.4-in. TFT color display. At night, the headlight automatically activates, providing illumination of the road up to 246 ft. ahead. The e-scooter also has turn signals and a rear brake light.
The battery takes approximately 7.5 to 8.5 hours to charge. The entire scooter is protected from water jets from any direction thanks to its IPX6 rating. The 117-lb. (53.1 kg) GT3 Pro can carry passengers weighing up to 330 lbs. (150 kg).
